Anne Hathaway stars as the witch, which will be released on October 22

The film "The Witch", based on roald Dahl's novel of the same name, has revealed new materials.The witch, played by Anne Hathaway, bewitched the little boy and turned him into a mouse.And the little boy after transforming, will rely on oneself wisdom and friend's help, expose the conspiracy of the witch.

In terms of the material's presentation, this will be another Robert Zemeckis film with a child's orientation.Roald Dahl's novel, which was adapted for the silver screen in 1990, was directed by the late Australian film master Nicholas Roig and starred Angelica Huston as a witch.According to foreign media reports,Anne Hathaway initially did not have a deal with Warner Bros. due to scheduling issues, but as these issues were resolved, she was cast as the witch.

It is understood that the new film will be closer to the original novel, and Robert Zemeckis will adapt the script himself.Published in 1973, this novel tells the story of a newly orphaned nine-year-old boy who follows his grandmother to England. While staying in a hotel, his grandparents and grandchildren encounter a witches' party led by senior witches and hear about their plans to turn all the British children into rats!Although the boy was changed into a mouse by the witch, he tried hard to stop the witch's evil plan.
